Eddy Vanoosthuyse is principal clarinet at the Flemish Radio Orchestra in Brussels. He is the clarinet professor at the ‚Royal Conservatory of Music‘ in Gent (Hogeschool Gent) and guest professor at the conservatory of the Lemmensinstitute in Leuven (Hogeschool voor Wetenschappen en Kunst).
He gives solo concerts, recitals and masterclasses in Europe (Belgium, Holland, Luxembourg, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Switserland, Austria, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Iceland, Danmark, Sweden, Slovakia, Slovenia, Chech, Hongary, Malta), North America (Canada and US), Central and South America (Mexico, Venezuela, Argentina, Chili, Peru) and Asia (China).
In 1992, he has been selected for the ‚World Philharmonic Orchestra‘. In 1999, he was invited for the ‚Symphonicum Europae‘ (concert of the Nations in the Fisher Hall of the Lincoln Centre). He made recordings for Sony, Phaedra and Gobelin. After the belgian premiere of Corigliano’s concerto, the composer wrote: ‚to Eddy, a fantastic virtuoso and a great artist!‘ The Dutch editor ‚Gobelin Music Productions‘ asked him to start a new collection with masterpieces for clarinet; The ‚Eddy Vanoosthuyse Clarinet Collection‘ was presented in july 2004 in Washington.
