Emilien Véret commence la clarinette à l’âge de 8 ans à l’école de musique d’Hérouville-St-Clair. Premier prix du conservatoire de Caen, et ayant obtenu deux prix de perfectionnement au conservatoire de Paris (CRR), il est titulaire du Diplôme d’Etat après une formation pédagogique au Cefedem d’Ile de France. Musicien polyvalent, à la fois interprète et improvisateur, il a joué avec l’Orchestre National de France, l’Orchestre de Caen, Les Sourds-Doués, l’ensemble 2E2M, Luigi Grasso, China Moses, Virévolte, Xaman, Odino. Parallèlement il développe son projet solo Clarinettes Urbaines avec pédales de boucles, pédales d’effets et human beatbox. Il est essayeur de clarinettes pour le fabricant Buffet Crampon, avec qui il a participé à l’élaboration de l’application Urban Play. Il est également compositeur et arrangeur de répertoire pédagogique (Le Petit Clarinettorama, Clarinettes Urbaines, éditions Hit Diffusion, Latin Spirit, éditions Billaudot). Emilien enseigne la clarinette au conservatoire de Gennevilliers, il est régulièrement invité à donner des masterclasses ou stages autour de l’improvisation.
Emilien Véret started playing the clarinet when he was 8 years old at the music school of Hérouville St Clair in Normandy.
He won the first prize in the Conservatory of Caen, two prizes in the Conservatory of Paris (CRR). He also graduated in pedagogy from the CEFEDEM Ile-de-France. As a multi-genre musician, performer and improviser, Emilien Véret has played with the Orchestre National de France, Orchestre de Caen, Les Sourds-Doués, L’ensemble 2E2M, Luigi Grasso, China Moses, Virévolte, Xaman and Odino.
At the same time, he developed his own solo project « Clarinettes Urbaines » (Urban clarinets), with loopstation, effect pedals and human beatbox. Emilien is also a clarinet tester for the brand Buffet Crampon, with which he participated in the conception of the app Urban Play.
In addition to that, Emilien Véret composes and arranges educational musical pieces (Le Petit Clarinettorama, Clarinettes Urbaines, éditions Hit Diffusion, Latin Spirit, éditions Billaudot). He teaches the clarinet at the Conservatory of Gennevilliers and is regularly invited to teach masterclasses or lead internships on the theme of improvisation.
