Jonathan Hadas was born in Tel Aviv, 1986. He has been the principal bass-clarinet player for the Israël Philharmonic Orchestra since 2010. He began playing the clarinet at the age of 11 with Mrs. Sarah Elbaz at the Ramat Gan Music Conservatory, followed by the Israeli Music Conservatory in Tel Aviv, and later with Mr. Richard Lesser.

He participated to festivals and seminars worldwide, such as the Chigiana Academy, Italy, Idyllwild, California, and Kfar Blum Festival, Israël.

In the summer of 2014 Jonathan participated to the Prades Clarinet Festival (Spain) as a guest professor. In 2015 he was a guest musician in Spannungen Chamber Music Festival in Heimbach, Germany, alongside musicians, such as Christian Tetzlaff, Lars Vogt, and Sharon Kam.

Jonathan is a member of the Israël Contemporary Players Ensemble. Jonathan is also a member of the Balkan group “Kbetch !” with which he had won the “Klezmer Prize” in the Fürth Klezmer Festival, 2014, and is the clarinet player in “the Shuk duo”. He is one of the founding members of Meitar Ensemble and has been an active member since its establishment.
