JEAN-PASCAL JOUE LE BEC VANDOREN M30 ET DES ANCHES V12 OU 56 RUE LEPIC

Né à Poissy d’une famille de musiciens, diplômé du Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, Jean-Pascal Post commence à 18 ans sa carrière musicale comme soliste de l’Orchestre Pasdeloup avec lequel il a joué les principaux concertos du répertoire. Il est depuis 1985 soliste à l’Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France.

Ses activités de soliste avec l’Orchestre Pasdeloup, la Camerata de Versailles, ou l’Orchestre de la Garde Républicaine, ainsi que sa passion de la musique de chambre lui ont permis de jouer dans de nombreux festivals en France et à l’étranger (Suède, Japon, Espagne, Corée, Allemagne, Chine…).

Il a par ailleurs comme partenaires de Musique de Chambre : George Pludermacher, Le Quatuor à Cordes de l’Opéra de Paris, Elodie Méchain, Jean Pierre Wallez ou encore Philippe Cassard, Stéphane Eicher, Kalhil Chahine…

Parallèlement, Jean-Pascal Post est conseiller artistique auprès de l’entreprise “Selmer” et contribue à l’élaboration des clarinettes dans les domaines techniques et acoustiques.

Il a écrit pour les éditions Leduc un recueil de Sonates tirées de l’oeuvre de Domenico Scarlatti et adaptée pour clarinette.

Pour le concours d’entrée au CNSM de Lyon 2018, il a arrangé une étude éditée chez Klarthe, tirée de l’œuvre de Scriabine.

Donc très impliqué dans l’enseignement, il prête également son concours à des masterclasses et récitals en France et à l’étranger notamment pour l’AEFE et le travail des élèves musiciens des lycées français à l’étranger.

Parmi ses enregistrements où la musique de chambre occupe une place importante , figure en 1999 sa participation au “Bakhtus” de Khalil Chahine. Il grave également un disque intitulé “La Shoah” pour Clarinette et Quatuor à Cordes d’ Alain Krotenberg.

En 2008, invité par le Bunka Kaika à Tokyo, Jean-Pascal Post a joué le Quatuor pour la Fin du Temps dans le cadre de l’année “Messiaen”.

Depuis 2017, dans le cadre d’un essai, il rejoint le London Philharmonic Orchestra en tant que clarinette solo.

Born in Poissy (close to Paris) from a musicians’s family, and graduating from the Paris’s National Conservatory of Music, Jean-Pascal Post, at age 18, began his musical career as soloist of the Pasdeloup Orchestra, with which he played the major concertos of repertoire that has brought him experience and recognition.
Recruited by Marek Janowski as soloist since 1985 at the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, he plays also under the batons of Myum-Wung Chung, Mikko Franck, Zubin Metha, Seiji Ozawa etc.
As a orchestral musician, he collaborated with the National OpéraTheater of Paris, France’s National Orchestra, The London Royal Orchestra, Paris’Orchestra etc.
In addition to his work in the orchestra, Jean-Pascal Post is active as a soloist and chamber player in, among other groups, the Pasdeloup Orchestra, the Camerata de Versailles, the Republican Guard Orchestra, and his passion for chamber music has allowed him to play in many festivals in France and abroad ( Sweden, Japan, Spain, Korea, Germany, China). As a chamber musician, he has partnered with George Pludermacher, The String Quartet of the Paris Opera, Elodie Méchain, Jean-Pierre Wallez, Philippe Cassard, Svetlin Roussev , Stéphane Eicher, Kalhil Chahine, among others.
Meanwhile, Jean-Pascal Post is artistic advisor to the company “Selmer” since 1997 and contributes to the development of clarinets and works closely in technical and acoustic fields with Jérôme Selmer.
He wrote for Leduc editor a collection of sonatas drawn from the work of Domenico Scarlatti and adapted for clarinet and very often chosen for many auditions (CNSM Paris & Lyon). Very involved in teaching, he also assists in masterclasses and recitals in France and abroad.
His recordings where chamber music is an important figure. In 1999 its participation in the « Bakhtus Khalil » Chahine. He also recorded a disc entitled “The Shoah” for Clarinet and String Quartet Alain Krotenberg. Invited by the Bunka Kaika in Tokyo, Jean-Pascal Post played the Quartet for the End of Time for « Messiaen’s Year ».
Since 2017 He joins the London Philharmonic Orchestra for Trial.
