Antonio plays the Vandoren BD5 Titanium mouthpiece, 56 rue Lepic n°3.5 reeds and the black M/O ligature

Antonio Capolupo is the solo clarinet of the Royal Opera House of Torino in Italy, after having been the solo clarinet of the Belgian National Opera « La Monnaie » of Bruxelles for 8 years from 2016 to 2024. Winner also of the solo clarinet position in the Orchestra of the Teatro Real of Madrid in 2022.

He collaborated with National Orchestra of France as principal clarinet under the direction of the Maestro Daniele Gatti, with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Orchestra of the Suisse Romande of Geneva, Belgian National Orchestra, Teatro San Carlo of Napoli, and as soloist with the orchestra “La Monnaie”of Bruxelles under the direction of Maestro Alain Altinoglu and with the Orchestra of the Opera of Toulon in France.

He performed also at the Carnegie Hall of New York in 2022 with the Symphonic Orchestra of Madrid, at the Salisburg Festival, Mozarteum of Salisburg, Carl Orff saal of Munich, National Auditorium of Madrid, Auditorium “Giovanni Agnelli” of Torino, Teatro “La Fenice” of Venice.

Winner of 11 international competitions, some to mention: 1st prize international clarinet competition « Marco Fiorindo », 2nd prize international clarinet competition “Saverio Mercadante”, 1st prize international clarinet competition city of Chieri, 2nd prize AudiMozart international music competition.

He graduated with the highest honors at the Conservatory « G. Verdi » of Torino in 2012, then He continued his studies with Alessandro Carbonare at the “Santa Cecilia” National Academy of Roma, with Calogero Palermo and Fabrizio Meloni.

He gives regularly masterclasses in Italy and abroad, most important to mention are in Holland, in China at the Central Conservatory of Beijing, Greece, Belgium and in Sicily at the Conservatory “V. Bellini” of Catania.

Antonio Capolupo is also an ambassador and collaborator of the big clarinet companies Selmer Paris and Vandoren Paris.
