Angelo De Angelis plays the M30D mouthpiece and Vandoren reeds Traditional number 3.5 and V•12 number 3.5+.

Angelo de Angelis was born in Cantalice in the province of Rieti in  1966.
He studied at the Conservatorio A. Casella of L’Aquila where he obtained his diploma in clarinet in 1987 with highest marks.  
He continued his musical studies with Thomas Friedli and Primo Borali. He then began his career as a performing artist as well as a clarinet teacher.  
He won prizes in several solo and chamber music competitions including: 1° Concorso internazionale “città di Capri” (1987), XII Concorso internazionale “città di Stresa” (1988), IV Concorso Nazionale “città di Moncalieri (1989), Concorso nazionale “ENDAS” città di Perugia (1992).
He has played with many important orchestras including: Orchestra Nazionale di S.Cecilia di Roma, Teatro la Fenice di Venezia, l’Orchestra da Camera Italiana di Salvatore Accardo, l’Orchestra Regionale del Lazio, l’Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese; under the baton of well known conductors amongst: R. Muti, C. Dutoit, J. Conlon, W. Marshall, J. Tate, G. Sinopoli, S. Accardo, D. Kitaenko, I. Karabtchevsky, A.Vedernikov, H Soudant, N. Santi, Z. Pesko, D. Renzetti, K. Ono.
He continues to play with various chamber music ensembles.
In 2001 he won the audition for the solo principal clarinet position of the Orchestra of the Rome Opera, where he presently maintains that role.
