Born in Los Angeles in 1989, Danny Janklow was recognized during his high school career by Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra as triple instrument « Outstanding Soloist » on tenor saxophone, flute and clarinet.

Danny recently graduated Temple University Boyer College of Music and Dance where he was mentored by saxophone legend Dick Oatts and incredible trumpeter Terell Stafford. In 2010, Danny won 1st place the North American Saxophone Alliance competition held in Athens, Georgia. In August 2012, he won 1st place at the Detroit Jazz Festival Saxophone Competition, ranking him as the top up-and-coming jazz
saxophonist in the world.

Quickly becoming recognized for his soulful, yet innovative voice on the alto saxophone, Danny frequently plays in the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra at the Village Vanguard in NYC. His heartfelt and exciting original compositions and arrangements have been well received everywhere from Vibrato Jazz Grill to the Detroit Jazz Festival. Danny has performed internationally in venues ranging from the Apollo in Harlem to the Bimhuis in Amsterdam.
