Né en 1980, Alexandre Doisy débute l’apprentissage de la musique à l’âge de 6 ans à l’Ecole Municipale de Musique de Privas et attire rapidement l’attention des professionnels qu’il côtoie par son aisance technique, son expressivitéet sa musicalité. La confirmation arrive lorsqu’il est admis, à 15 ans, au CNSM de Paris, où il obtient le diplôme deformation supérieure mention très bien – 1er prix de saxophone à l’unanimité – puis effectue un cycle de perfectionnement de deux ans, tout en poursuivant l’apprentissage du piano et de la direction d’orchestre.

Il est lauréat de prestigieux concours internationaux : il remporte notamment le 1er grand prix Adolphe Sax du 2ème concours international de Dinant (Belgique) en 1998, le 2ème prix – pas de 1er prix décerné – et le prix du public du50ème concours international de l’ARD de Munich en 2001 et le 1er prix du 2ème concours international Jean-Marie Londeix de Bangkok en 2008. Il est également lauréat de la Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe en 2000 et lauréatde la Fondation d’entreprises Groupe Banques Populaires en 2001.

Alexandre Doisy se produit régulièrement en tant que soliste, accompagné par l’Orchestre de la Radio de Munich, le MDR Symphonieorchester de Leipzig, l’Orchestre Symphonique de Saint Petersbourg. Ses prestations en récital avecpiano ou au sein de différentes formations de musique de chambre l’ont déjà conduit dans la plupart des pays européens, ainsi qu’au Canada, au Japon, en Chine, en Corée et en Russie. Certains de ses concerts ont fait l’objet deretransmissions télévisées, notamment pour Arte ou pour la NHK (télévision japonaise).

En 2011, il enregistre la Rapsodie pour saxophone et orchestre de Claude Debussy avec l’Orchestre national de Lyon pour le label Naxos. En 2018, il enregistre avec la pianiste Claudine Simon l’album « So French » pour le label Klarthe consacré au répertoire du début du XXe siècle.

Il consacre une part importante de son activité artistique au répertoire symphonique avec saxophone au seind’orchestres de renommée internationale, tels que l’Orchestre de l’Opéra national de Paris, l’Orchestre national de Lyon, l’Ensemble InterContemporain, l’Orchestre national des Pays de la Loire et l’Orchestre de la Suisse Romande.

Titulaire du certificat d’aptitude aux fonctions de professeur de saxophone, il enseigne actuellement auConservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Grenoble. Il est également invité à donner des master class en Europe et en Asie.

Intéressé par la recherche et le développement de nouveaux matériels, il tisse un lien privilégié avec la société Vandoren dont il est conseiller artistique pour la production des becs et anches pour le saxophone.

Alexandre Doisy joue les saxophones Yamaha.

 

 

 

 

Alexandre Doisy was born in 1980 and started learning music at 6 years. His technical skills, expressiveness and musicality quickly caught the attention of professionals. His talent led him to enter the CNSM (Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique) of Paris at age 15, where he achieved the higher training level diploma with distinctions. He then followed the 2-year advanced cycle, while training in piano and conducting.

He won several prizes at international competitions: 1st prize Adolphe Sax of the 2nd international competition of Dinant (Belgium) in 1998, 2nd prize (no 1st prize awarded) and prize of the audience of the 50th international competition of the ARD of Munich in 2001, and 1st prize of the 2nd international competition Jean-Marie Londeix of Bangkok in 2008. He was awarded the distinctions of Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe in 2000 and of the Banques Populaires Group Foundation in 2001.

Nowadays, Alexandre Doisy regularly performs as a soloist, with the Munich Radio Orchestra, the Leipzig MDR Symphonieorchester, the Saint Petersbourg Symphony Orchestra or the Orchestre national de Lyon. He has been also performing along with piano and chamber music in most of European countries, Canada, Japan, China, Thailand, India and Russia. Some of his concerts have been broadcoasted, particularly for Arte or NHK.

Alexandre Doisy devotes a large part of his artistic activity to symphonic repertoire with saxophone within internationally known orchestras such as the Orchestre de l’Opéra national de Paris, the Ensemble InterContemporain and the Orchestre de l’Opéra de Lyon. Since 2006, he has been regularly joining performances of the Orchestre national de Lyon and the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande.

A laureate of the aptitude certificate in saxophone teaching, he currently teaches in the « Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional » of Grenoble. He is also appointed for master class teaching in Europe and Japan.

He is interested by research and development in new equipments, and has developped a privileged partnership with the Vandoren company, whom he works for as an artistic advisor for saxophone mouthpieces and reeds.
